Belarusian drama theater to host exhibition by Italian photographers

MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) – The exhibition Eternal Rome: From Sunset to Dawn will open in the art hall of the Republican Theater of Belarusian Drama on 1 June to mark the Italian Republic Day and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Belarus and Italy, BelTA learned from the organizers.

Members of the photo club Gruppo Fotografico Genzano founded in 2003 already showcased their works in Minsk last year. The club is one of the most active ones in the Castelli Romani (Roman Castles) region. The great interest that the Belarusians show towards the Italian culture inspires photographers and creates a special environment for a creative dialogue between representatives of the two cultures and people of different professions.

Last year’s exhibition All Roads Lead to Rome hosted by Universitet Kultury Art Gallery of Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts introduced its visitors to various places in Italy encouraging them to plan trips to this country.

The 2017 edition of the exhibition highlights one city, namely Rome. The members of Gruppo Fotografico Genzano captured different shades of the city from sunset to dawn.

The authors of the works to be displayed in Minsk are professionals with a large portfolio of exhibitions, photography courses, outdoor and studio shootings in Italy and other countries of Europe. They had many photo shoots in the region Lazio and an exhibition in the library Vallicelliana e il Collegio Romano in Rome.

The photographers come to Belarus to present their works and take pictures that they will later showcase at different exhibitions.

The exhibition Eternal Rome: From Sunset to Dawn will run through 15 June. It is organized by the Department of Intercultural Communication of Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts and Universitet Kultury Art Gallery.
