Belarusian art on show in India

MINSK, 11 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian art is on display at an exposition of arts and crafts in India, BelTA learnt from the Culture Ministry of Belarus.

The Belarusian delegation consisting of members of the Belarusian dance company Belaya Rus from Minsk and representatives of the Belarusian Union of Crafters is taking part in the 29th edition of the Surajkund International Crafts Mela on 1-15 February.

The Belarusian dance company whose repertoire comprises folk dances and choreographic compositions perform for the numerous visitors of the expo on a daily routine. The Belarusian stand invites visitors to get familiar with various samples of the Belarusian folklore – straw weaving, embroidery, belt making and many more.

The arts and crafts expo was attended by Belarus’ Ambassador to India Vitaly Prima. The diplomat spoke with representatives of the Belarusian delegation and the organizers of the exhibition. Vitaly Prima praised the contribution of such events in the development of bilateral relations.
