Belarusian actors to take part in international theater school in Moscow

MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) – Belarusian actors will participate in the International Summer Theater School of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation that will be held in Moscow from 1 till 28 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the International Theater School.

The summer school is one of the most successful Russian education projects. The ninth edition of the forum will gather 85 young actors from 20 countries. The list of participants traditionally features Belarusian representatives. This year partaking in the project will be Alexei Senchilo and Yelena Stetsenko from the Gorky National Academic Drama Theater of Minsk and Tatyana Yevtukh from the Grodno Regional Puppet Theater.

The program of the school includes daily professional classes held by leading pedagogues and professors from the prestigious Moscow acting schools. The program features workshops and trainings on stage movement, modern dance, contact improvisation, speech, and fencing. Besides, the students will have a unique chance to choose their teacher and join one of three groups headed by Vyacheslav Kokorin, Veniamin Filshtinsky, and Gytis Padegimas.

The International Summer Theater School of the Russian Union of Theater Workers is held in line with the program of support for Russian theaters in the CIS member states and the Baltic countries under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation. Since its founding, some 800 actors from more than 40 countries including the countries of the CIS, the Baltic region, Eastern and Western Europe, Asia, Africa, and America have undergone its training program.
