Belarusfilm, China Film Group Corporation to promote Tum Pabi Dum movie in China

MINSK, 18 June (BelTA) – Belarusfilm, China Film Group Corporation have agreed to promote Tum Pabi Dum movie in China, head for marketing, sales and advertising of the National Film Studio Belarusfilm Yuri Igrusha told BelTA.

“An agreement was reached between Belarusfilm and one of China’s leading corporations, China Film Group Corporation, to import, distribute and promote the Belarusian movie Tum Pabi Dum all over China,” Yuri Igrusha said. Preliminary negotiations were held to distribute other Belarusian movies in China on a regular basis. China confirmed its interest in a number of feature movies, documentaries and cartoons. The document was signed during the Film Festival of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Qingdao, Shandong Province of China.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between Belarusfilm and Kazakhfilm.

Yuri Igrusha informed that on the sidelines of the festival Belarus delegation met with representatives of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, India, Mongolia and other countries to discuss cooperation prospects and communicate views.

The Day of Belarus took place at the festival on 16 June. On that day Belarus showed its movies and presented the actors and directors taking part in those movies.

The SCO Film Festival took place in Qingdao on 13-17 June. Belarus showcased five films. Those were Vyacheslav Nikiforov’s Tum Pabi Dum, Elena Turova's Ryzhik in Wonderland, Alexander Anisimov’s Footprints on the Water, Andrei Kudinenko’s Massacre, and Vera’s Sweet Farewell (Aleksandra Butor). The Belarusian movies were received very well, Yuri Igrusha added.
