MINSK, 2 May (BelTA) – Belarusian wrestler Viktor Sosunovsky won silver in the men’s -82kg event at the 2018 European Wrestling Championships in Kaspiysk, Russia, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian defeated the athletes from Sweden, Germany and Azerbaijan before losing to Maksim Manukyan from Armenia in the final.

Makism Kazharsky of Belarus finished fourth in the men’s 60kg event, while Nikita Klimovich was fourth in the men’s 87kg event.

In the women’s 55kg event Irina Kurochkina of Belarus will face Poland’s Roxana Marta Zasina in the final.

Viktor Sosunovsky is a silver medalist of the 2015 World Wrestling Championships and a bronze medalist of the First European Games in Baku.
