Belarus’ travel industry to explore all-inclusive system

MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) – Belarus’ travel industry may introduce a system of all-inclusive services. This proposal was discussed at a meeting of the interagency coordinating council on tourism at the Council of Ministers, BelTA learned from the tourism department of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.

"The all inclusive system will be explored by the Sport and Tourism Minsitry and other agencies concerned. The issue should be worked out before 1 March,” specialists said.

There are plans to establish a databank of promotional products about tourism in Belarus such as videos, commercials about the country, certain regions and cities, booklets, events calendars and more.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the embassies of Belarus abroad are expected to ensure that by 1 April that promotional campaigns and presentations of Belarus’ tourist opportunities be held abroad. Foreign and domestic travel operators are expected to join the campaign. Proposals for the development of industrial and business tourism are to be submitted by 1 March.

Before 1 March 2016, Belarus’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs jointly with the State Border Committee will develop proposals regarding the possibilities and mechanisms for the issuance of Belarus e-visas to foreign nationals and the establishment of a visa-free regime with countries that are unlikely to serve as migration donors.

The Architecture and Construction Ministry together with the Labor and Social Security Ministry, the Transport Ministry, the regional authorities, and the Minsk City Hall will prepare plans for creating a barrier-free environment for people with disabilities at tourist sites in Belarus.
