Belarus to take part in Monte Carlo junior circus festival

GOMEL, 10 January (BelTA) – The Mozyr circus center Arena will represent Belarus at the most prestigious international junior circus festival New Generation, BelTA learned from director of the center Natalia Daineko.

The festival will take place in Monte Carlo, the Principality of Monaco, on 4-5 February. The participants received the invitation from the organizing committee. “Every year this festival brings together the best circus performers from various countries, and the participation in this festival is a great achievement for any artist,” Natalia Daineko said.

In Monte Carlo, five Belarusian rope-walkers aged from 13 to 20 will show a very technically difficult routine. The equipment for this performance will be delivered from Mozyr, an installation specialist will be included in the delegation. “Our rope-walkers received the Grand Prix at the international festival in Kiev last year,” Natalia Daineko stressed.

On winter holidays, the Mozyr circus center Arena presented the show for children Miracles of the New Year’s Eve. The show featuring original performances of circus artists was a success.

The circus center Arena was founded in 2006. At present, it has about 100 students, including acrobats, trapeze artists, balancers, jugglers, and rope-walkers. In 2014, the Belarusian head of state presented the special prize For Spiritual Revival to the personnel of the center in recognition of the big contribution to the promotion of the amateur circus art. Three trapeze artists from Mozyr won special prizes at the international junior circus festival New Generation in Monte Carlo in 2016.
