Belarus to host Days of Egyptian Culture in 2019

MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) – The Days of Egyptian Culture will take place in Belarus in 2019. The agreement was reached at a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Egypt Sergei Rachkov and Egypt’s Minister of Culture Ines Abdel-Dayem on 12 March, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in culture. They also lauded the experience of mutual participation in cultural events held in Belarus and Egypt, including the international art festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk and the Cairo International Film Festival. The parties discussed the calendar of the forthcoming cultural events and the participation of representatives of the two countries in them.

The parties also agreed on establishing direct cooperation between the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus and the Cairo Opera House.
