Belarus starts enlisting volunteers for Junior Eurovision 2018

MINSK, 9 July (BelTA) – Volunteer applications for the Junior Eurovision 2018 will be accepted starting from 10 July, BelTA learned from Secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM Youth Union Alexandra Goncharova.

BRSM invites responsible and friendly young people to take part in the volunteer movement to help the National State TV and Radio Company to prepare and conduct the international contest. Candidates should meet the following requirements: they should be aged 18-31 years, have good communication skills, a good command of English; knowledge of several foreign languages will be an asset.

The enlistment procedure will run through 12 August. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. Applications should be filled in and sent to dobroeserdcerb@gmail.com by 4 August. The application form will be available on the website of the BRSM Youth Union and in the VK group Volunteers of Belarus. “Interviews will be conducted in early August. The best candidates will receive our recommendations. The final decision on who will make it to the team of volunteers will be made by the National State TV and Radio Company. Some 100 vacancies are open. Volunteers will assist foreign delegations, technical and creative personnel,” Alexandra Goncharova informed.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 will take place in Belarus on 25 November. The event is organized by the National State TV and Radio Company that is the country’s only member of the European Broadcasting Union.
