Belarus’ Sasnovich 41st in WTA rankings

MINSK, 16 July (BelTA) – Aliaksandra Sasnovich of Belarus has moved up to her career-high 41st WTA ranking, BelTA informs.

The Belarusian was 50th before the 2018 Wimbledon and climbed up nine spots after reaching round four. Aliaksandra Sasnovich currently holds 1,283 points. Aryna Sabalenka sits at 34th with 1,330 points. Vera Lapko is 72nd with 853 points. Victoria Azarenka is placed 108th with 601 points.

2018 Wimbledon champion Angelique Kerber moved to 4th from the 10th.

The WTA Top 10:

1. Simona Halep (Romania) – 7,571 points,

2. Caroline Wozniacki (Denmark) – 6,740,

3. Sloane Stephens (United States) – 5,463,

4. Angelique Kerber (Germany) – 5,305,

5. Elina Svitolina (Ukraine) – 5,020,

6. Caroline Garcia (France) – 4,730,

7. Garbine Muguruza (Spain) – 4,620,

8. Petra Kvitova (Czech Republic) – 4,550,

9. Karolina Pliskova (Czech Republic) – 4,485,

10. Julia Gorges (Germany) – 3,980.

Serbia’s Novak Djokovic returned to the ATP Top 10 after win at the 2018 Wimbledon. Ilya Ivashko of Belarus is 128th with 459 points, Vladimir Ignatik – 213th with 268 points, Egor Gerasimov – 215th with 267 points. In the doubles rankings Max Mirnyi is 44th.
