Belarus remains in UEFA top 50 to send 4 clubs to European cups

MINSK, 14 August (BelTA) – Belarus has retained its spot in the UEFA coefficient top 50 after the European cups’ third qualifying round wrapped up. The country will be represented by four clubs in the next two seasons of continental tournaments, BelTA has learned.

This season, FC ML Vitebsk and FC Dinamo Minsk saw their European runs come to an end in the third qualifying round, while FC BATE Borisov exited the Conference League in the second stage. The Belarusian trio contributed 2.333 coefficient points, keeping the country at 44th place in the European rankings with 8.708 points accumulated over the past five seasons. Furthermore, Belarus is locked into finishing no lower than 50th for the 2026/2027 season, which secures four European spots for the country’s clubs in the following two seasons.

Belarusian clubs are set to pocket over €3 million in UEFA prize money this season. FC ML Vitebsk claimed a €1.335 million payout, while FC Dinamo Minsk brought in €1.075 million. FC BATE Borisov will also see a €700,000 boost to their budget.
