MINSK, 22 June (BelTA) - A nationwide moment of silence to honor those who perished in the Great Patriotic War was observed in Belarus on 22 June, BelTA has learned.
Memorial bells were tolling in churches across the country, the mournful beats of a metronome were echoing, and remembrance ceremonies with bowed banners were held in military units. All of Belarus came to a halt for a minute to honor the memory of those who perished in the flames of the Great Patriotic War.
