MINSK, 9 January (BelTA) – A photo exhibition “China, Yesterday and Today. Chinese Traditional and Contemporary Architecture” by Dean of the Architecture Faculty of Belarusian National Technical University, Doctor of Architecture, Professor Armen Sardarov will be open at the National History Museum on 10-20 January, BelTA learned from the museum.

The exhibition is timed to the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China. The photos were made in Beijing and Shenzhen in 2017. “The Chinese culture made a great contribution to the global civilization. Philosophy, painting, and poetry of China had a tremendous impact on many cultures, from Europe to America and Asia. One of the most significant achievements of the Chinese culture is architecture that has over 4,000 years of history. Chinese architectural solutions of the 21st century embrace both tradition and modernity,” the museum noted.

The photos were made by Armen Sardarov, an architect, scholar, a photo artist who wrote many books and articles, worked on many architectural projects, and published five illustrated books. He had exhibitions at the National Art Museum, the Palace of Arts, the House of Friendship, Belarusian National Technical University.
