Belarus’ mobile exhibition to tell about main stages in country’s development

MINSK, 9 December (BelTA) – The mobile exhibition "Belarus and Belarusians" of the National History Museum will tell the story about the country’s development. The project was presented in the museum on 8 December, BelTA has learned.

"Belarus and Belarusians" is the first mobile exhibition that will provide a brief story of the country’s history and cultural achievements and present the Belarusian nation as an inherent part of the world community. It will help understand what Belarus is and who the Belarusians are.

Belarus is a sovereign country with the millennial past, the glorious and dramatic history. It cherishes its national traditions and is inspired by the best achievements of the world civilization. People are the country’s most important asset. Belarusians are a hardworking and clear-thinking nation. Belarusians are known for their hospitality, benevolence and peaceful nature.

The exhibition consists of mobile constructions that feature themed images, photos of articles and documents, explanations in the Belarusian and Russian languages. The exposition is divided into two parts, with one part being dedicated to the history of Belarus and the other telling about the country’s cultural achievements. A brief historical background covers the main stages of development, including the ancient times, the first state formations, the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Rzeczpospolita, the Russian Empire, Soviet Belorussiya, and the present-day state.

The exhibition has been developed for the presentation of the history and culture of Belarus abroad.
