Belarus’ Maksimava victorious at Asia Triathlon Cup stage in China

MINSK, 30 May (BelTA) – Belarus’ Hanna Maksimava won an Asia Triathlon Cup stage in China, the press service of the Belarusian Sports Ministry told BelTA.

Our athlete showed the best result in a sprint event, which included a 750m swim, a 21km bike race, and a 5km run. Maksimava covered the distance in 1 hour, 1 minute and 7 seconds, getting ahead of representatives of China and Türkiye.

“Everything worked out as it should. Even though during the swim I had to roll onto my back, because I could not breathe otherwise. I am pleased with the victory, especially after the last defeat. I was very glad about the result of the run segment,” Hanna Maksimava said.

A total of 36 female athletes from 17 countries competed during the Asia Triathlon Cup stage.
