Belarus’ Iryna Kryuko 8th in IBU Women’s World Cup Total Score

MINSK, 18 February (BelTA) – With eight BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon legs behind, Lisa Vittozzi of Italy has settled atop the IBU Women’s World Cup Total Score. Her fellow compatriot Dorothea Wierer goes second, BelTA has learned.

Following the event in Salt Lake City Lisa Vittozzi has 713 points, Dorothea Wierer – 706 points. Third is Norway’s Marte Olsbu Roeiseland with 640 points. Belarus’ Iryna Kryuko goes eighth with 427 points. Dzinara Alimbekava is 66th with 35 points. Sisters Elena and Irina Kruchinkina share 76th-77th places with 23 points each. Anna Sola is 87th with ten points. Darya Yurkevich is 91st with four points. In the Women’s Nation Cup Score the Belarusian team is 11th with the total of 3,987 points. France tops the chart with 5,661 points. Second is Germany (5,480 points). Norway is third with 5,436 points.

The IBU Men’s World Cup Total Score is topped by Norway’s Johannes Boe with 979 points. Second is Alexander Loginov (645 points). Third is Simon Desthieux (636 points). Belarus’ Vladimir Chepelin and Raman Yaliotnau share 63rd-64th places with 29 points each, Sergey Bocharnikov – 73rd with 21 points, Anton Smolski – 81st with 15 points. The Men’s Nation Cup Score is led by Norway (6,040 points). It is followed by France (5,827 points) and Germany (5,478 points). Belarus is 13th with 3,357 points.

The biathlon season will continue with the IBU Open European Championships in Raubichi on 20-24 February. The IBU World Championships Biathlon which is due in Oestersund, Sweden on 7-17 March will be followed by the final BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon in Holmenkollen, Norway on 21-24 March.
