MINSK, 19 October (BelTA) – The Honorary Consulate of Belarus in Lyon that will become the first Belarusian official representative office in the regions of France will open in December 2015, BelTA learnt from the Embassy of Belarus in France.

While in Lyon, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus Pavel Latushko discussed Belarus’ cooperation with one of France’s biggest cities located in the Rhone-Alpes region.

The Belarusian diplomat held a meeting in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lyon and the Rhone-Alpes region to discuss the preparations for the presentation of Belarus’ trade, economic and investment cooperation with French companies. The presentation will be held with the assistance of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 26 January.

Pavel Latushko also met with representatives of the Belarusian diaspora to discuss the organization of the Days of Belarusian Culture in Lyon in April 2016.
