Belarus. Documentary Story gets special award of Film Assembly on Dnepr

MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) – A special award of the International Film Assembly on the Dnepr 2016 went to Galina Adamovich’s full-length film Belarus. Documentary Story, BelTA learnt from the Belarusfilm Studio.

The film narrates about the development of the independent Belarus and the present-day country. The film includes the country’s most important events and facilities, including in the country's industry, agriculture, healthcare, sport, international relations.

The annual forum International Film Assembly on Dnepr was held by the Orthodox Culture center Lestvitsa for its seventh time. The forum marked the 1,000th anniversary of the Old Russian monarchism on Mount Athos which is celebrated by the Orthodox church in Ukraine this year. The forum is held under the motto The Unity of Cinematography is in the Truth. The motto of the forum calls upon every creative person to do their best for peace, love and mutual understanding on the planet.

This year partaking in the film assembly were famous documentary filmmakers from Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Poland and Serbia. Traditionally the film forum presents a lot of premieres. 16 out of 25 films featured at the 7th edition of the International Film Assembly on the Dnepr were premieres.
