Belarus' COVID-19 update: 1,735 new cases, 1,733 recoveries

MINSK, 23 April (BelTA) – Belarus confirmed 1,735 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours; another 1,733 coronavirus patients were discharged from hospital, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry.

The nationwide coronavirus tally now stands at 350,221 cases. A total of 340,660 patients previously diagnosed with COVID-19 have recovered in Belarus.

As many as 2,473 COVID-19 patients have died since the infection outbreak in Belarus.

All in all, Belarus performed 5,741,652 tests, including 18,225 tests in the past 24 hours.

As of 23 April, more than 244,000 Belarusians had received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and over 84,500 had already got both shots.
