Belarus claim silver, bronze at 2021 ECA Canoe Sprint European Championships

MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) – Belarus won silver and bronze medals at the 2021 ECA Canoe Sprint European Championships in Poznan, Poland, BelTA has learned.

Artsem Kozyr of Belarus won silver in C1 men 200m, clocking 40.798. Gold went to Joan Moreno of Spain (40.770). Lithuania’s Henrikas Zustautas collected bronze (40.960).

Maryna Litvinchuk and Volha Khudzenka finished third in K2 Women 500m with the result of 1:45.450. Hungary’s Danuta Kozak and Dora Bodonyi won the event in 1:44.175. Silver went to Karolina Naja and Anna Pulawska of Poland (1:45.420).

Earlier, Pavel Miadzvedzeu, Ilya Fedarenka, Kiryl Nikitsin, and Vitaliy Bialko won the K4 Men 1000m event in 3:02.023. Bronze was collected by Alena Nazdrova of Belarus in the C1 Women 500m.

The 2021 ECA Canoe Sprint European Championships is the final major international event ahead of the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
