Belarus, China to step up cooperation in art

MINSK, 19 October (BelTA) – An autumn exhibition of artworks and paintings by artists from China and other countries, organized by China Poly Group Corporation, has opened in Beijing, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in China.

“Representatives of the Belarusian embassy in China, along with diplomatic missions from Russia, Austria and other countries, took part in the event at the invitation of Poly Group,” the embassy said.

The Belarusian diplomats met with senior official at Poly Culture Group Corp Ltd. Ms Wei Wang. The parties exchanged contacts and agreed to intensify cooperation and arrange the exposition of Belarusian artworks in China as part of major art events. They also discussed cooperation prospects in other areas of culture.

China Poly Group Corporation is a large state-owned Chinese business group. Its core businesses include real estate, entertainment industry and the export of weapons. The corporation operates under the supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC). The group was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Beijing. The corporation has extensive experience in arranging exhibitions and auctions of artworks in China and abroad. The corporation supports theater and the film industry, as well as international cooperation projects in these fields.
