MINSK, 30 August (BelTA) Belarus’ Anastasia Miasnikova came in third in the 200m VL2 final at the 2026 ICF Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe World Championships in Poznan, Poland, BelTA has learned.
In the 200m final, Anastasia Miasnikova clocked 1:02.31 to win the bronze medal. The top two spots went to Britain's Emma Wiggs (58.76) and Canada's Brianna Hennessy (1:00.82). One year ago, the Belarusian won the world title. She is also a two-time European Championships medalist.
Earlier in Poznan, Ilya Taupianets won the silver medal in the men's 200m VL1 class. Also representing the Belarusian team at the season's premier para-canoe event were Krystsina Sulzhytskaya (KL1) and Aliaksandr Padaliak (VL1).
