Belagro 2018 expo kicks off in Minsk District

MINSK, 5 June (BelTA) – The official opening of the international exhibition Belagro 2018 will take place at the Globus Park trade and logistics center in the agro-town of Shchomyslitsa, Minsk District on 5 June, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

Taking part in the expo will be 536 companies from 28 countries, including Austria, the UK, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Poland, Russia, the United States, Ukraine, Finland, and others.

Collective stands will be showcased by the Agriculture and Food Ministry, Industry Ministry, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Belgospishcheprom, Belkoopsoyuz, other ministries and agencies of Belarus. The expo will also feature expositions of the Czech Republic, India, Pakistan, and the Kirov Oblast of Russia.

Over 300 samples of modern farming machinery will be presented at the open site of the exhibition. The display will include machinery for fertilizer application and plant protection, grain harvesting and fodder preparation, reclamation, cultivation and harvesting of potatoes, sugar beet and other vegetables.

Every year Belagro becomes one of the main venues for business talks. This year the exhibition will be visited by more than 20 official delegations from different countries. Themed conferences and seminars will highlight issues such as ensuring competitiveness of agricultural products, using land resources with relation to their environmental and economic efficiency, prospects for cooperation between Belarus and CIS and non-CIS countries in the production of innovative farming technologies.

The exhibition program will include practical demonstrations, presentations, master classes and competitions.

Belagro 2018 will be held as part of the Belarusian Agro-Industrial Week in Minsk District from 5 to 10 June and will be co-located with international exhibitions Belferma, Belprodukt, Prodmash. Kholod. Upak.
