Artists from 15 countries perform in opera gala in Minsk

MINSK, 20 December (BelTA) - Artists from 15 countries performed in the gala concert of the International Christmas Opera Forum 2016 in Minsk on 20 December, BelTA learned from the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus, the organizer of the forum.

The Minsk International Christmas Opera Forum 2016 culminated in a gala concert and gave opera admirers the chance to see the celebrated world opera stars including Helen Lepalaan (Estonia), Arevik Gyulbudaghyan (Armenia), Talgat Mussabayev (Kazakhstan), Fidan Hajiyeva (Azerbaijan), Anton Zaraev (Russia), Romans Polisadovs (Latvia), Daniel Damyanov (Bulgaria), Jean-Philippe Fortier-Lazure (Canada), Kirill Borchaninov (Uzbekistan), Frantisek Zahradnicek (the Czech Republic), Francesca Sorteni (France-Italy), Anna Lubanska (Poland), Akhmed Agadi (Russia), Dainius Stumbras (Lithuania), Yuliya Lysenko (Ukraine), Martin Babjak (Slovakia).

The gala also featured the young singers - winners of the 3rd Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition: Tigran Ohanyan (Armenia), Andrei Nemzer (Russia), Alexander Mikhnyuk (Belarus), Zarina Abayeva (Russia).

Great opera arias and duets, musical hits and familiar melodies performed by opera singers and accompanied by virtuoso musicians of the Symphony Orchestra of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus created the unique atmosphere of the Christmas Opera Fete. The conductor was Andrei Galanov.

The Minsk International Christmas Opera Forum always presents world opera classics, the premieres of the season and new opera stars. That was the seventh time that the opera forum of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus brought together true lovers of classical art.
