Art Zabor project presented in Belarus’ embassy in France

MINSK, 24 October (BelTA) – The presentation of the Belarusian project Art Zabor took place in the Belarusian embassy in France, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

The fence around the Belarusian embassy displayed the works of eight contemporary Belarusian artists: Alexander Dosuzhev, Vitaly Denisenko, Viktor Alshevsky, Sergei Kaval, Yuri Yakovenko, Vladislav Stalmakhov, Ruslan Vashkevich and Sergei Grinkevich.

Attending the presentation of the project in the embassy of Belarus was Vice President of the Welcome to France Association Nicole Parlange and spouses of the Ambassadors and counselors of the embassies of Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, Salvador, Serbia, the United States, Switzerland, Japan, former Ambassador of France to Belarus Mireille Musso as well as countess Antuana Paskevich, one of the descendants of the former owners of the Palace of Rumyantsevs-Paskeviches in Gomel.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to France Pavel Latushko noted at the opening ceremony of the exhibition that the Art Zabor project has been traveling around Belarus and other countries for two years already with its major aim to present Belarus’ contemporary visual arts to the Belarusian and foreign community.

The Embassy of Belarus in France also hosted the opening of a vernissage of Belarusian graphic artist from Grodno Yuri Yakovenko, one of the project participants.

The guests of the exhibition also got familiar with Belarus’ tourism potential and saw a number of films, including One Day from Belarus’ Life, Nesvizh Palace and Mir Castle.

The organizer of the exhibition in Paris is the Zubr Capital private equity firm at the initiative of the Embassy of Belarus in France. In October the expo was presented at the City Hall of the 16th Arrondissement in Paris.
