All-China Youth Federation delegation to visit Belarus in September

MINSK, 23 August (BelTA) – A delegation of the All-China Youth Federation plan to visit Belarus in September 2018, BelTA learned from Secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM Youth Union Aleksandra Goncharova.

“Official meetings of representatives of the BRSM Youth Union and the All-China Youth Federation took place in July 2018 on the sidelines of the 3rd Youth Camp of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing. The decision was taken then to organize the first forum of the Belarusian-Chinese youth in Belarus in 2019. During the visit of the All-China Youth Federation we plan to discuss the program of the forum and outline activities for further cooperation,” said Aleksandra Goncharova.

In her words, the parties are discussing the opportunity to set up a Belarusian-Chinese youth business incubator. The similar project is implemented in Russia and has already proved efficient. The economic effect from the Russian-Chinese youth business incubator amounted to $230 million over the past year. “This will be a platform for exchange of our young businessmen and scientists, which will help more actively attract youth to business, develop successful business projects and generate investment,” said the secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM Youth Union.

According to Aleksandra Goncharova, youth organizations of the two countries plan to continue implementing joint programs and projects, expanding regional cooperation. “One of the initiatives that is to be discussed during the next meeting with the representatives of the All-China Youth Federation will be the organization of cultural exchanges not only at the level of higher educational institutions but also between youth organizations,” she added.

The agreement on cooperation between the BRSM Youth Union and the All-China Youth Federation was signed in 2011. The agreement is focused on the expansion of friendly relations, information exchange in the youth policy and activities with young people of the two countries, the exchange of delegations, the implementation of patriotic projects, the development of volunteer movement and youth entrepreneurship.
