MINSK, 15 September (BelTA) - Alena Omelyusik of Belarus finished fourth in the Women’s Time trial at UEC Road European Championship 2016 in Plumelec, France, BelTA has learned.

The leading Belarusian cyclist clocked 38:12.99 for the 25.4km course. Ellen van Dijk of the Netherlands won the event in 36:41.07. Silver went to her fellow compatriot Anna van der Breggen (36:59.47). Third was Russia’s Olga Zabelinskaya with the time of 37:04.46.

Ksenia Tugai of Belarus came in 13^th, 0:03.04 behind the winner.

The European men's time trial title went to Jonathan Castroviejo of Spain (59:13.99). Bronislav Samoilov of Belarus completed the 45.5km course in a time of 59:52.94, finishing 14^th. Belarus Konstantin Sivtsov was 23^rd in 1:00:45.33.
