Academies of sciences of Belarus, China to develop cooperation in philosophy

MINSK, 30 April (BelTA) - The Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) and the National Institute for Social Development of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen cooperation in the field of philosophy and culture on 30 April, BelTA learned from the NASB press service.

The agreement was signed during the Belarusian-Chinese workshop “Belt and Road Initiative and Philosophy of Management in the New Era” at the NASB Institute of Philosophy. This is a regular event arranged by the Belarusian-Chinese Philosophy and Culture Research Center established in 2017 by agreement between the Institute of Philosophy of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Lingnan Normal University (China). The center has been set up to expand partnerships with the institutes of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, which, along with the university research centers of China, is seen as a strategic partner in the field of social-humanitarian and philosophical studies.

After the signing of the agreement, Academician-Secretary of the NASB Department of Humanitarian Sciences and Arts Alexander Kovalenya met with the Chinese delegation. The meeting was also attended by the head of the NASB Main Department for International Cooperation in Science Vladimir Podkopaev, Director of the NASB Institute of Philosophy Anatoly Lazarevich, Rector of the NASB Institute of Training of Scientific Personnel Igor Gancherenok. The participants of the meeting exchanged the information about scientific, educational and publishing activities of the organizations and identified the areas for further cooperation.
