War veteran Nina Telesh

War veteran Nina Telesh was born in the village Litvyak, Vitebsk Oblast. In April 1942, after learning that draft board gaining 20 girls Komsomol volunteers to the front, she applied to the draft board and fell in the 43rd regiment of anti-aircraft searchlight. Its members received their first combat awards – the medals "For Courage" and "For the Defense of Stalingrad." The composition of the 1st Belorussian Front took part in battles for the liberation of Poland and Germany. She was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree, medals "For the Capture of Berlin", "For the Victory over Germany" and many commemorative medals.
