Helena Meraai to represent Belarus at 2017 Junior Eurovision

The 2017 Junior Eurovision national selection final was aired live on Belarus One and Belarus 24 TV channels on 26 August. Ten finalists, selected by the country’s music experts, took to the stage to fight for the right to represent Belarus at the European popular song contest that will take place in Tbilisi on 26 November 2017.

14-year-old resident of Minsk Helena Meraai was the one to steal the show. Opening the gala concert with her song I Am The One, the young singer impressed the jury with her strong vocal performance and incredible staging. The young talent received the biggest 24 (12/12) points from the public and the jury.

Over her eight-year music career Helena Meraai has won a variety of music awards. The participation in famous TV projects has been the most exciting and memorable experience for her so far. In 2016 the Belarusian was part of Dima Bilan’s team in the third season of the Russian TV show The Voice. Kids and triumphed at the children’s New Wave as part of the girls’ trio EY’WA. The young singer hopes her lifelong dream  of winning the hearts of the Eurovision audience will come true in 2017.
