Belarus President Campaign 2015: ELECTION OBSERVATION

Belarus President Campaign 2015: ELECTION OBSERVATION
22 Sep 2015

Belarus has invited representatives of the authoritative international organizations, foreign politicians and public figures to observe its main political campaign. Traditionally, the CIS and OSCE/ODIHR have deployed the largest foreign observation missions. They began monitoring the campaign as early as in August. Meetings are held with representatives of the Central Election Commission and participants of the election; contacts are maintained with the civil society and election commissions. The observers monitor the registration of candidates and voters, campaign activities, the work of the election authorities and the application of the law, the consideration of election-related complaints, and the campaign coverage in the media.

On 22 September the CIS and OSCE/ODIHR observation missions published interim reports.
