Olympics 2024: Belarus’ Shymanovich through to 100m breaststroke semifinal

Belarusian swimmer Ilya Shymanovich touched in second in Heat 4 to advance to the men’s 100m breaststroke semifinal at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The heat was won by many-time Olympic champion Adam Peaty of the UK. Ilya Shymanovich clocked 59.25 seconds, the third best time among 36 athletes. The semifinal will feature 16 athletes.
