Dynasty: three generations of border guards

The Afanasiev-Setko family have 70 years of experience in the border guard service. The ancestor of the dynasty is retired colonel Yuri Afanasiev, honorary border guard of the Border Guard Service of the Republic of Belarus. His son Oleg Afanasiev graduated from the Grodno Warrant Officer Training School and chose border service for the following 20 years. Granddaughter Aleksandra also followed in her father’s and her grandfather’s footsteps. Aleksandra and her husband Aleksandr Setko (also a border guard) have a daughter who probably will connect her life with the border service in the future as well.
