The lights were lit on the pixel Christmas tree in Gomel (first installed in December 2018), one of the country’s highest at about 36 meters, in a festive ceremony on 10 December. The Lighting a Christmas Tree Together event on Friday evening brought together those who wanted to see a new interactive tree of Gomel. It is operated by one main control panel and 16 additional ones. It has 15 illumination programs, including the seasons’ new ones. Lenin Square has transformed for the winter holidays. Local residents and tourists can enjoy a ‘miniature fairytale town’ with entertainment zones for children, amusement rides, food courts, and shopping stalls.
