Belarus presented the National Pavilion at EXPO 2020 in Dubai, the UAE on 29 September The Belarusian pavilion is themed around “Forest of Future Technologies". The exposition is divided into several zones: an interactive corridor, export.by zone, Innovations and Investments, Doors to Belarus, Sports and Tourism, a gift shop and an entertainment zone. The main goal of the project is to present the export potential of domestic enterprises to attract investment in the Belarusian economy,  to expand the geography of sales with an emphasis on the promising markets of the Persian Gulf, the Middle East, and North Africa.

Preparations for EXPO 2020 began in 2016: Belarus became one of the first countries to confirm its intention to participate in the expo was able to choose a convenient location for the national pavilion. Among the ‘neighbors’ are Austria, Switzerland, Germany, and Spain.

The Belarusian exposition occupies over 1,400 m2.By design, Belarus is presented not only as a resource rich country, but also as a country with skilled human capital, which is crucial for technological advancement. Therefore, Belarus’ exposition is centered around Innovations, Investments, Individual and is designed to showcase the country’s latest solutions. To make the national exposition more impressive, the designers used interactive walls, holograms, virtual reality glasses, 4D bioprinting...

The main highlights of the national exposition are business opportunities and the country's export potential. It features Belarus’ leading companies and organizations representing the petrochemical industry, mechanical engineering, education, research ... Also, visitors will get acquainted with Belarus’ IT solutions in the field of medicine, agriculture and education.

The things that make Belarus recognizable and attractive - its traditions, national flavor, history, cultural and natural heritage - are presented in a video format.The major visual feature of the pavilion is the art installation, The Tree of Knowledge, designed by Khristina Vysotskaya. It is a textile nine-meter plant, with an exhibition of innovative student projects at its foot. Visitors can also see the exhibition by Dasha Matrosova, the winner of international photo contests, Europe 2020 best photographer.

The national pavilion has already drawn about 200,000 visitors. The official opening of the exposition took place on 29 September. Minsk Days kicked off on 3 November. Belarus’ National Day at EXPO 2020 was held on 22 November and was attended by Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko. The Belarusian Investment Forum, the key event of the business program, started on the same day. Some thematic events celebrating the country's potential - Tourism Days, Science Days, and Regions Days, with the participation of music and dance groups, will wrap up Belarus’ participation at the exhibition.
