Belarusian canoe sprinter Yuliya Trushkina placed fifth in the Women’s C-1 200m at the ongoing 2024 Paris Olympics.
The final featured eight athletes from Belarus, Canada, China, Spain, the USA and Hungary. The Belarusian finished fifth, clocking 44.83 seconds, half a second away from the bronze-medal place.
Gold went to Katie Vincent of Canada (44.12). Tokyo Olympic champion Nevin Harrison of the United States finished second. Yarisleidis Cirilo of Cuba secured bronze.
