Museum of Slutsk Belts

Several years ago the enterprise with the same name in ancient Slutsk restored the technology of producing famous belts of the 16th-17th centuries, opened the only museum in the country featuring beautiful samples of Belarusian arts and crafts. Visitors to the museum can learn more about the history of Slutsk belts, see the replicas of these belts restored using modern equipment, watch how skillful weavers make their handmade masterpieces.

The first Slutsk belt made using an exclusive technology was presented to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko in April 2014. The belt symbolizing the revival of the production of national relics in the country is kept in the Palace of Independence.
