July is time for early potato harvesting

Potato has been long known as the "second bread" of Belarusians and a staple ingredient of the national cuisine. The country is among the world’s leaders in the potato production and per capita consumption. In Belarus, potatoes are harvested mostly in autumn, although early varieties are harvested throughout the summer.
