The All Saints Memorial Church in Minsk built in the 21st century has become a symbol of the spiritual unity of the people of Belarus which is home to representatives of different faiths. The church also reminds of the tragic and heroic history of the country. It was erected in memory of the victims who died “for the salvation of our motherland”. Three unknown warriors of the War of 1812, the First World War, and the Great Patriotic War were buried in the crypt. A ceremony to bury capsules containing soil from the burial places of Belarusian soldiers and fellow countrymen who were forcefully taken abroad and died far away from their native land was held in the crypt of the All Saints Memorial Church on 2 October 2015. The ceremony was another tribute to the memory of the generations that paid for peace with their lives.
