In Vitebsk, the celebrations marking the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory began with a procession of veterans, representatives of regional and city authorities, labor collectives, public associations, and youth, which made its way along Lenin Street to the memorial complex honoring the liberators, partisans, and underground fighters of Vitebsk Oblast on Victory Square. Participants joined the nationwide minute of silence, followed by a flower-laying ceremony.
