28th Minsk International Film Festival Listapad

Local residents and visitors are looking forward to the 28th edition of the Listapad film festival. This year it will be held under the motto True Values. The films of the 2022 program are centered around the themes of peace, environmental conservation, home, love, family, hope, faith... A record number of entries – 1,360 films from 89 countries – were submitted this year. More than 80 films were handpicked by the jury. There will be four competition programs this year - Feature Films Competition, Documentary Films Competition, Children and Youth Films Competition Listapadzik and Animation Films Competition. The Animation Films Competition will debut at the festival.

Over 300 entries from more than 60 countries were submitted to the Feature Films Competition. The jury watched over 500 hours of material and chose the 12 best entries. As a result, there will be films from all regions of the world: Africa, North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia, Australia and Oceania, Europe (including co-production films).

The cinema days of Russia, Uzbekistan, China, India, Indonesia will be held on the sidelines of the film festival. The all-time favorites of the Belarusian cinema and the best projects of the Belarusfilm film studio will be presented at a separate event – the Day of Belarusian Cinema. All in all, together with out-of-competition entries, the public will see more than 100 films in eight days!
