Yekaterina Buraya of Belarus wins Miss Supranational 2012

MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – 23-year-old Yekaterina Buraya of Belarus has won the top title at the international beauty pageant Miss Supranational 2012 that took place in Warsaw, Poland, BelTA has learned.

The second place went to Nahthawan Wannachutha from Thailand, the third one to Michaela Dihlova from Czechia, the fourth one to Elaine Kay Moll from Philippines, the fifth one to Sulay Castillo from Ecuador.

The semifinals gathered 20 contestants. Apart from the awardees girls from Spain, Iceland, Denmark, Puerto Rico, South Africa, the UK, Canada, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, Panama, Poland, Costa Rica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, and Surinam demonstrated their beauty on the catwalk.

Yekaterina Buraya of Belarus came from the town of Bobruisk. This year she has graduated from Minsk State Linguistic University. She is a specialist in intercultural relations in the area of tourism. She was a finalist at the beauty pageant Miss Belarus 2008.

The beauty pageant Miss Supranational 2012 is one of the world’s top three beauty contests. Since 2009 it has been held in Europe only.
