MINSK, 19 June (BelTA) – Vladimir Samsonov of Belarus won the table tennis Men’s Singles silver at the European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan, BelTA informs.

In the gold medal game the Belarusian master lost to Germany’s Dimitrij Ovtcharov 3-4 (12-10, 11-7, 9-11, 3-11, 11-9, 7-11, 8-11).

On the way to the final Vladimir Samsonov beat Italy’s Mihal Bobocica 4-1, France’s Simon Gauzy 4-2, Portugal’s Tiago Apolonia 4-0, and Ukraine’s Lei Kou 4-1.

In the bronze medal game Lei Kou defeated Paul Drinkhall of the UK 4-2.
