Made in Belarus #AgroFood virtual expo opens on 16 June

MINSK, 16 June (BelTA) – Belarus’ first virtual exhibition Made in Belarus #AgroFood opens today, on 16 June, BelTA has learned.

More than thirty Belarusian organizations and enterprises will be featured at the exhibition. There are two pavilions: Agro and Food. Each virtual stand will feature product samples, videos, business offers. Visitors will be able to get familiar with a video greeting and chat with a manager of a company in a text chat. The exhibition will host an international agricultural online forum with experts from different countries. “Taking part in the expo and forum will be useful for farmers and businesses from the agricultural and agricultural processing sectors, food trade business,” said the Belinterexpo exhibition operator at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).

The Agro Pavilion is showcasing agricultural equipment and agricultural technologies. The stand of the State Committee on Science and Technology will show Belarusian R&D solutions including fertilizers and plant protection products, feed and feed additives, veterinary drugs, technologies for reinforcing and restoring parts of agricultural machinery, and a separator for planting material. The National Academy of Sciences will present such developments as a greenhouse electric lighting system, a self-propelled flax baler, new varieties of wheat, immuno-enzyme kits for the analysis of mycotoxins in grain, legumes and oilseeds.

The Food pavilion will offer new products from Belarusian food and beverage manufacturers. Belarusian scientific organizations will demonstrate developments in the food industry, for example, the technology of producing oxidation-resistant dietary supplements based on flaxseed oil, technology of making hypoallergenic children's biscuits, edible packaging films, vitamin-mineral premixes for functional food, phyto-salts, new technologies to produce vegetable juices, technology to manufacture vegetable oils with a balanced composition of polyunsaturated fatty acids, innovative pasta and dry dairy products.

The official opening ceremony of the expo will take place at 10h00 Minsk time on 16 June. It will feature Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) Vladimir Ulakhovich and the heads of the CCI of other countries. The international agricultural online forum will begin at 10h30.

Made in Belarus #AgroFood is held under the auspices of the BelCCI with the support of the ministries and departments, chambers of commerce and business associations of a number of countries.

Attendance is free. Registration is mandatory at https://www.belinterexpo.by/exhibition/virtual/. The interactive platform itself is running at https://mib.by/.

The opportunity to communicate with the companies - exhibitors in a text chat will available for visitors from 16 to 18 June, and then the platform will be open to the public in the demonstration mode until 19 July 2020.
