MINSK, 14 October (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Belarusian women on Mother’s Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.

“Motherhood is the most sacred mission on Earth. It fills you with happiness to give birth to a new life and to see that you will live on in your children and grandchildren. This is a real feat and a woman does it with great love, patience and tenderness, devoting her whole life to children,” the message reads.

The head of state pointed to the substantial contribution of mothers to preserving age-old traditions. “A spiritually strong and independent nation is born in the families where parents teach their children by their example to venerate the elders, to be proud of the history and achievements of their country, to respect national culture and to love their native land,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.

The president addressed special words of gratitude to mothers with many children: “Thanks to you, our history continues and we look with confidence into the future of Belarus. The state will always support your families, offer better conditions for women who raise children and seek to fulfill themselves in social work and career.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished all compatriots and their loved ones good health, happiness and prosperity. “Our dear mothers! I would like to express my deepest appreciation for your work, care and endless motherly love,” the president said.
