Lukashenko to give interview to Mir TV and Radio Company

MINSK, 2 April (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko will give an interview to the office of the Interstate TV and Radio Company Mir in Belarus on 2 April, BelTA has learned.

The president will be interviewed by Director of the Office of the Interstate TV and Radio Company Mir in Belarus Vladimir Pertsov.

The TV and Radio Company Mir is making a series of interviews ahead of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. Another reason for holding a conversation with Aleksandr Lukashenko has become Day of Unity of Peoples of Belarus and Russia which is marked on 2 April. 

The interview will highlight issues related to cooperation in the Union State and also within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The talks will also focus on the current global situation taking into account the present-day challenges.

The Interstate TV and Radio Company Mir was founded on 9 October 1992 following the decision of the CIS heads of state. The company is a co-founder of TV channels Mir, Mir 24, Mir HD, Mir Teleport, and also the radio program Mir that broadcast in the CIS, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia. The total audience exceeds 174 million people.

Mir Office in Belarus employs 90 people. In 2019, the office produced about 1,900 TV materials of different types and genres. A number of documentaries have been made in Minsk. Among them are The History of Belarus. At the Turn of Centuries, Summer 1944. The Battle for Belarus, and many others. 

The Belarusian office of the Interstate TV and Radio Mir is financed by an equity contribution system.
