Lukashenko: State emblem and flag unite Belarusians in the most responsible moments

MINSK, 8 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent his best greeting to the Belarusian people in the run-up to the Day of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus and the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Our state symbols embody the sovereignty of the country, its rich history and traditions. They illustrate the spiritual and moral features of the Belarusian people,” the message of greetings reads.

“The everlasting value of the State Emblem and the State Flag is displayed in the most responsible moments for the society as they unite the Belarusians, ensure the unity and continuity of generations. By honoring the state symbols we pay a tribute of respect to the invaluable achievements of our forefathers who fought in the battlefield and in the rear to defend the right to have a decent life and work in the native land,” the head of state noted.

Alexander Lukashenko wished strong health, happiness, wellbeing and every success in labor for the benefit of Belarus to all fellow citizens.
