Lukashenko signs Belarus’ 2022 budget bill into law

MINSK, 4 January (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed a law on Belarus’ national budget for 2022 on 3 January, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The national budget and estimated figures for the budgets of the Belarusian regions and Minsk for 2022 have been drawn up based on the provisions of program documents on the country’s social and economic development, taking into account the current economic situation. Budget revenues for 2022 are projected at Br27.8 billion, while budget expenses will remain socially oriented. A significant part of them will be spent on wages, pensions, scholarships, benefits, other payments, and also on the implementation of state social standards.

The head of state also signed the laws on the budget of the state extrabudgetary fund of social protection of the population of the Republic of Belarus for 2022 and on amendments to the laws on taxation.

Amendments and additions to the Tax Code are focused primarily on addressing practical issues of taxation, further simplifying the procedure for calculating and paying taxes and improving tax administration.
