MINSK, 7 January (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko called on Belarusians to focus on hard work after the winter holidays as he visited a church in Minsk Oblast on Christmas, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko reminded everyone that the holiday season ends after Christmas, and working days resume. He noted that the holidays had been peaceful and kind and had taken place under a peaceful sky.
“Some may not have even rested during this period. You know that neither I, nor our military, could have any rest during this time, while our people were relaxing, thinking more about themselves and their families,” the head of state said. “People in uniform, and myself as the Commander-in-Chief, have no time for rest during this period. But that’s alright, we can handle it all. However, time is coming for millions and millions of Belarusians to get back to work.”

“The tasks are clear. The goals have been set. If we want to live well, we must accomplish what we have recently outlined. So, let’s get to work,” said the president.
The Belarusian leader emphasized that Belarus has everything necessary for people to live and provide for themselves and their children. “Provided they work. Without work, we will get nothing,” he added.
