Lukashenko sends Knowledge Day greetings to students and teachers

MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated Belarusian students and teachers on Knowledge Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state remarked that a person’s way in life begins at school what characters are formed and personality is developing.

“A new page full of interesting meetings, unforgettable impressions and endless opportunities will open in the life of students on 1 September. Young Belarusian citizens, first-grade students, were waiting for this special day very much. This year will be an important one for school leavers who will choose their professions,” the message of greetings reads.

Alexander Lukashenko sincerely thanked teachers. “Your professionalism, commitment and patience help the younger generation acquire profound knowledge and develop their skills. You still the feelings of patriotism and pride for the Fatherland in them. Parents play a responsible role in this process. I am convinced that only by joint efforts we can bring up good citizens of Belarus who will take care of the country’s interests,” the president stressed.
